Hello there!

My name is Chelsea McWhorter, but you may know me as Mrs. Mac. I was born and raised in a small town in Maryland. I moved to Ozark, Alabama in 2011. I graduated in 2015 from Troy University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I interned at Newton Elementary School in 2015. After internship I knew Newton Elementary was where I wanted to teach. I absolutely love my job, my students, and the wonderful people that I work with. this is my 12th year of teaching and I have taught Kindergarten my whole teaching career. I am excited to move to 2nd grade this year! I am married to my husband, Daniel McWhorter. We have 3 beautiful daughters and one on the way! Audrie is 20, Allison is 15, Nora is 7, and Naomi Kate will be here in December. They each have their own unique personalities, which makes life exciting! My cup runneth over.
