Subjects Taught

I went to high school at Southern Garrett High School in Maryland. I graduated high school in 2010. After graduating high school, I went to Garrett Community College in Maryland for one year. I then moved to Ozark, Alabama and attended Troy University. I graduated from Troy University with my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in May 2015. Within the next few years I am looking forward to furthering my education by going back to school to achieve my Master's degree.

Before graduating from Troy University I completed my internship at Newton Elementary School. After graduation I accepted a job at an Ozark City school where I taught kindergarten for one year. This is my second year of teaching and I am very happy to be back at Newton Elementary School.

I was born and raised in a small town in Maryland. I moved to Ozark, Alabama in July 2011. I am married to my husband, Daniel McWhorter. I am the proud step mother to two beautiful girls. Audrie is 11 years old and Allison is 6 years old. We have a pomeranian, Jasmine, who is my baby. My family is very important to me. I enjoy getting to spend as much time with them as possible. My husband and I are members at Chalkhead Baptist Church in Ewell, Alabama. I love to travel, watch football (WAR EAGLE), and do fun things with my family.
