Subjects Taught
Fourth Grade

I am a native of the Dale County School System.  I graduated from George W. Long High School.  After high school, I attended Wallace Community College and eventually transferred to Troy University Dothan Campus.  While at Troy, I graduated Summa Cum Laude with my Bachelor's of Science Degree in Elementary Education.  In May 2016, I graduated from the University of West Alabama with a Master's of Education degree in Library Media.

This is my ninth year of teaching.  All of my teaching experience has been at Newton Elementary School.  I began teaching second grade in 2008 and have had experience in fourth and sixth grades.  Currently, I am teaching fourth grade and love it!

I have a wonderful husband, Ben, who is also in the teaching profession.  He is a P.E. teacher/baseball coach at Carroll High School in Ozark.  We have one son, Eli, who is almost five! He is full of life and keeps me entertained.  My other "furry" babies are my Siamese cat, Sophie, and my Basset Hound, Chance.  I love BRAVES baseball and shout "War Eagle" in the fall.  I enjoy reading (when I have time).  Whenever I can, I LOVE spending time with my family whether it be relaxing at home or going on vacation!
